autumn vibes, part one

photos by Joshua Cobos
hair & makeup by Fox & Doll

I'm excited to finally share, with the two remaining people who read this blog (hi!), part one of the series I shot with one of my favorite photographers and collaborators back in August. Joshua Cobos and I have a pact that we will continue to collaborate on these shoots together until we are both very, very old. The amazing hair and makeup (I now wish my hair looked like this all the time!) is thanks to Shana Astrachan, who is probably the only person that could reveal any part of my forehead to the world without making me cringe. In fact, I rather like that little bit of formerly concealed forehead.  Sidenote: Formerly Concealed Forehead would make a good band name. Expect more photos from this shoot very soon!

san francisco girl, part one

Photos by Hana Haley

When I visited San Francisco a few months ago I was lucky enough to do a photo shoot with the incredibly talented (and lovely! and babely!) Hana Haley. We walked around Pacific Heights looking for beautiful buildings and I changed outfits on the sidewalk and behind parked cars. My apologies to any children who may have seen my undergarments that day. I love the dreamy quality of Hana's photographs and I'm looking forward to collaborating with her again during my holiday vacation in December. Stay tuned for part two of this series coming soon!

hello, san francisco

My new Orla Kiely purse bursting with randomness, including a bear shaped tape measure and a plastic gem wine stopper purchased at Daiso.

My makeshift closet for the week.

The adorable Hana Haley during our photo shoot in Pacific Heights.

Sandwiched between the beautiful Annalise and Rachel.

Bardot dream hair becoming a reality thanks to Shana.

These are just a few snaps from my recent trip home to San Francisco. I was lucky enough to crash for the week in a friend's beautiful victorian home, complete with beaded lamps and taxidermy, as well as shoot with two of my favorite SF photographers (Joshua Cobos and Hana Haley). I had my hair magically transformed into my Bardot dream 'do by Shana Astrachan of Fox and Doll, ran around wine country with my family, sang a million karaoke songs, found my ultimate dream dress at Wasteland, took purikura photos with a few of my favorite girls, and generally just felt myself bursting with a whole lotta love for the city I used to call home. It was a lovely time spent with lovely people and I can't wait for the next trip back around the holidays.

a wedding, part two

A few more moments from a beautiful wedding.
