vintage lockets
A few of my favorite vintage lockets. These days I hardly wear any jewelry except for the odd necklace or ring, but I keep collecting pieces anyways. I'm usually drawn to pieces that are either delicate and feminine (like the necklaces above), or things that are crazy and oversized and loud (and sometimes food related). There isn't much in between that interests me at the moment. The black locket on the right has a photo of some strange man inside it, something I tore out of a magazine and wedged in there so that when people inevitably ask me if I have any photos inside I can open it and tell some wild tale about this guy I don't even know. That is, until I finally admit it's all for comedy.

a collection most curious
I'm pleased as punch to be featured on the Anthropologie blog, showing off my collection of fake food and posing with Donut. I mixed up a few of my favorite Anthropologie pieces (including this skirt and this dress) with vintage. The best part about this photo shoot was that, in addition to collaborating with my talented coworkers, we were overstocked with all kinds of delicious foods to use for props. And this meant that afterwards we could eat everything, including that cheeseburger and the gorgeous blueberry pie. Let's just say I was stuffed for a week!

welcome to the thirties

This lucky girl was treated to the most perfect 30th birthday weekend of all time. I must say, it feels good to be another year older. I've been living in Philadelphia for nearly two years now, working for my dream company doing what I love, having fun with the sweetest man I know, and I don't take a single second of it for granted. Here's to another decade of adventures, vintage hunting, and silliness!

birthday shoes
My birthday is a week from tomorrow but that didn't stop me from treating myself to these dreamy Kate Spade shoes and Topshop socks. Oh, and the vintage rug is new too. Oops.
