A favorite color combo: rust, mint and cream. I love this corduroy dress because it snaps all the way open, which means I can wear it as a vest too (and I've been obsessed with vests lately). I have also been revisiting an old obsession of mine, earrings. It seems that every ten years I get excited about earrings again. The bigger and weirder the better! Too bad you can hardly see them because my mop of hair is always down and covering my ears.

My sweet valentine knew exactly what I wanted for Valentine's Day, which was a pile of pretty flowers to make my own arrangement with. We went to a favorite florist in Portland and I spent twenty happy minutes gathering up all kinds of pretty specimens in shades of orange, pink, cream, and blush. My favorites are those gorgeous pink tinged orchids peeking out of the center and the colorful snapdragons.

Oh, and I had a little assistant...

I had been coveting these perfect Céline sunglasses for a while now and I finally made them mine. I found them on SmartBuyGlasses.com, which has a million different styles and colors, which means that you will find yourself wish listing too many things. These photos, half of them shot in my front yard and the other half shot in downtown Portland (Maine), show the funny dichotomy in my life at the moment. Country mouse vs. city mouse.
