festive feelings

cardigan  vintage

I'm feeling festive these days, hence the bright red cardigan and matching red lips. Many of you contributed to my festive feelings with your amazing responses to the Bohemian Bisoux giveaway. I asked what your favorite holiday treat is, and your answers had me drooling all over myself: candy cane hot chocolate, pavlova with whipped cream and strawberries, chocolate truffles rolled in peppermint, dark chocolate dipped almond leaf cookies... yummm to the max! I wish I could send you all piles of candy and pretty lace things, but it had to be one lady... and that lucky lady is Annie of the darling blog Time Enough For Drums! Congratulations, Annie... and everyone else should stay tuned for another amazing giveaway next week (from yet another splendid vintage store).

And now check out Donut's new favorite place to be lazy...

blue on blue

dress  vintage
purse  vintage
shoes  j. crew

In the lobby of my apartment building, after an evening of dancing. It looks like I have a dreadlock situation going on in the second photo, but I can assure you that my hair just likes to form into weird ringlets on one side of my head. The blue dress was a recent find, one that I didn't buy at first because I was trying to be responsible with my pennies, but I ended up going back to visit it (yes, I visit dresses) and I gave in. Glad I did.

mischief

Victor and I spent a fine evening a few weeks ago running around a certain fancy hotel in downtown San Francisco. We snuck into any and every ballroom and conference room that happened to be open, taking silly photos with my point-and-shoot (hence the wonderfully crappy quality). Victor even convinced me to climb to the top of a very (scary) tall stack of chairs, but sadly that photo didn't even turn out. Maybe we'll go back soon... but this time I'm making him climb the stack!

a-hunting we will go

This guy made me delicious gourmet mini donuts from scratch. Love him.

Admiring my donuts.

Victor was all about this vintage coat.

Winner of the creepiest flea market vignette.

And the Cutest Couple Ever award goes to...

I am definitely in my element when I'm pawing through racks and racks of old clothes, or squatting down to examine tangled piles of jewelry. Flea markets make me happier than almost anything else. These photos are from the Candlestick flea market, which is relatively new and quite amazing. I happily wandered around, popping mini cinnamon donuts into my mouth, gaping at all the treasures, and haggling with cute old ladies. And I walked away with my giant tote bag filled to the brim with pretty things. I'm so curious to know what the amazing twosome in the last photo bought... they were killing me with their matching festive attire.

be my guest

I have a guest post up at The Drifter and the Gypsy. I also recently did an interview for the adorable blog Eight Biscuits. Tomorrow I will have photos of the flea market for you... I saw so many amazing things, I could definitely be a flea market troll for the rest of my life and never tire of it.
