a teen vogue feature

I love showing glimpses of my Philadelphia apartment and all the crazy things inside it, and now you can see quite a bit more courtesy of my feature on Teen Vogue! Donut makes a brief appearance (for all you hardcore Donut fans), as does my hat wall and a rather nutty 1960's dress I scrounged up at the flea market. Hopefully the young readers of Teen Vogue don't find out that I'm actually an old lady and instead focus on the importance of collecting weird books and removing stray hairs from shoes before inviting people over to photograph your apartment (see last photo). See lots more photos here!

Wandering the streets of Philadelphia with Allegra, representing both ends of the green spectrum, earning ourselves many bewildered looks from strangers, the usual. We capped off the day with cocktails from my favorite spot, Village Whiskey. A Ginger Rogers for me and a Bee Charmer for her, and a cheers to many more weekend adventures.

I am unreasonably happy about the changing weather, so much so that I'm afraid my California Girl colors are all too visible. I was hanging in there for my first east coast winter, but oh man am I happy to ditch the tights. I've been squirreling away so many good summery things and finally I can take them out on the town. I can already tell this pretty striped skirt (made of the lightest silk ever) is going to see a lot of sunshine and the coat has been on my back for a week straight. Last weekend I was wearing it while wandering around a museum and a cute old lady walking by me actually grabbed my sleeve and exclaimed "Oh what a beautiful, beautiful coat!" I didn't have time to be startled by a stranger grabbing me because I could only think "I know! I'm so happy it exists!" Fashion: Bringing Kooky Strangers Together Since Forever.
