These two pieces were destined to be worn together. The bejeweled cropped sweater is a gem from Sheinside and the pale blue skirt is a neoprene wonder that was made especially for me by my talented friend and fellow Anthropologie stylist Megan Swansen. As soon as I saw this cute little sweater I knew it would be the perfect match with this skirt, and happily for me the weather in Northern California is nice enough at the moment to be running around with bare legs and arms. I might just wear this outfit every day until I head back to the east coast.

I added a few wonderful pieces to the Fancy Fine Vintage shop today, including a 1960's lace blouse (first photo) and the 1940's black crepe jacket with lace trim above, amongst other things. Go take a peek in the shop and see if you fall in love!

happy thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, lovelies! Today I am thankful to be celebrating my two year anniversary with my mountain man in our warm home. I am also thankful for my wonderful family on the west coast (whom I miss terribly), my buddies spread out all over the place (I hope you are all enjoying this day too), the delicious rare steak I plan on eating tonight instead of turkey, and my job which makes me excited to get up and going every day. The world has been a weary place lately but I am still grateful for my place in it, and all I can do is appreciate the small, beautiful moments that come my way.

These photos were taken back in late September and I'm already mourning the absence of bare legs and light dresses. Fortunately this week is going to be warm in these parts for about, oh, five minutes. I'll take what I can get before it turns cold again!

I'm so pleased to finally share these photos with you from a recent collaboration with a few favorite folks. I have had colorful seventies visions in my mind for a while and it was fun to create dream outfits for this dream girl, Miss Emily Theobald, using all vintage pieces from my own collection. I'm lucky enough that my 9 to 5 just so happens to be styling too, but it's wonderful to step outside of that zone for a day and really have some fun. I hope these collaborations keep on coming!
