I must have been a drag queen in a former life because sometimes I love nothing more than getting dolled up and donning a wig so that I can pretend to be a more glamorous version of myself. This red number makes me wonder if I could pull of this color and length for real, but at the end of the day I'm probably too chicken to find out. I'm too attached to my scraggly brown locks and bangs, but at least I can temporarily live in a fantasy.

Well as a fake redhead myself (with a natural hair color of brown-black) I can say it's a lot of fun going red, as long as you don't mind getting a lot more attention. The downside is if your hair is naturally very dark, roots are very obvious so you really have to keep up with color once a month.

Anyway just wanted to say hello and that I'm a new follower. Discovered your blog through the Mermaidens interview. Love your style, especially the flower headpiece. I have a fashion illustration blog and I've been inspired a lot by flower crowns and fascinators.

I love this post.. I am a (secret) wig lover also!! I have a super long red one with bangs that I try to work into my Halloween costume every year as an excuse to wear it;) So much fun to play with such drastic impermanent changes!

I think you could totally pull off that length & color, and the length will show off your lovely outfits even more. I adore that skirt!

wow! looks so great! you should use that clairol natural selections semi-permanent dye! It totally washes out after like a month, so, non-commital, but they have a ton of natural looking shades of red. I used to use it a lot in high school. I never permanently dyed my hair until I bleached the crap out of it this year. ha. go big or go home I guess..

Ashley, you look stunning! It's always fun to dress up and pretend to be someone else (or a different version of yourself) for a bit...and I really like this red-headed vixen!

I don't often comment on blogs but I just wanted to say how much I love yours - I've been following for years and your gorgeous photos and outfits always brighten up my often dreary commute to work :)

Lovely look! That skirt is so cute. I'm kind of getting a Molly Ringwald Breakfast Club meets the 50s vibe? haha.

I totally understand, but let me just say- when I cut my hair in a bob I regretted it- not because it looked bad, but because you can't do anything with it! It gets boring really fast and takes forever to grow out. Of course I have a pixie now so- haha! Alex
