gift of garb vintage market

My friend Abby organized an amazing vintage flea market featuring lots of San Francisco dealers and it's happening tomorrow! Sadly I won't be able to go because I have to work, otherwise I'd be there happily emptying my wallet. But you should go if you're in the area because there will be lots of pretty things. Fortunately I will be going to the Alameda Antiques Faire on Sunday, which is particularly exciting because I haven't been in months (mostly because I've been overstocked for the shop). If you happen to see me there dragging my giant neon green tote bag around please say hello!

behind the scenes: anna li photo shoot

A few behind-the-scenes film photos from the Prospect Park photo shoot I did with Emily and Anna Li. Please ignore the crappy line that runs across every photo (courtesy of the talented photo team at Walgreens). Anna kept protesting when I took her photo because she thought her outfit was too "goth" next to the super girly getups Emily and I were wearing, but I think the contrast is rather lovely.

shop showcase: adelaide's homesewn

I've had an Etsy addiction ever since I first visited the site years ago. I can spend hours in a passionate haze of clicking, coveting, and adding things to my favorites list. Many a treasure from Adelaide's Homesewn has made it into onto this list. Maria has an impeccable eye for all things feminine and lovely and she keeps the shop stocked with earlier vintage pieces from the 1940's and 50's. She also seems to share my weakness for lace and cardigans, and that makes her shop pure Etsy gold in my eyes. Be sure to check out her adorable blog too!

Maria is offering Fancy Fine readers a special 15% off discount for anything in the shop. Just enter the code "fancypants" when you check out. The offer expires on October 6th!

new york: part eight

New York was sweaty and beautiful. I desperately wish I could fly all these amazing new friends to San Francisco, where even more mischief would inevitably occur. But I'm glad I had seven days to spend frolicking, snapping photos, dancing the nights away, and learning more about these pretty gals I already felt like I'd known for so long. And don't worry, there is one more New York post coming soon... part nine! (I know, I went a little overboard.)
