a flea day

dress  vintage
hat  j. crew

If I look semi-crazed in some of these photos it's because flea markets make me that way. Something comes unhinged in me as soon as I see those rows of vendors, I almost want to skip through the entire thing because I'm so excited to be there. These were taken at the Alameda Flea Market a few weeks ago, one of my favorites. The weather was perfect, I was wearing one of my favorite dresses, Nicole was by my side, and my giant tote bag quickly filled up to the brim. I happily spent five hours pawing through everything and I could have stayed for the rest of the day if they hadn't started to pack up. I guess I was made to live the life of a crazy flea market troll!

Looks like you were having a great time at the flea market! I love flea markets and would go crazy digging, searching for 'treasures'.

Have a great Easter holiday!

Totally know what you mean. Last summer I sold vintage at an outdoor antique market in Brighton. I got to wear my crazy get ups and talk vintage with all the cool crazy for flea-markets gals and guys.

That looks awesome, great photos and I love the line of semi-mutilated plastic heads. I had one of those when I was 8. I gave it a mo-hawk and permanent marker tattoos. My mum started to worry about me...

I'm always incredibly happy too when I go to flea markets, it's like turning back time and playing Treasure Hunt with your childhood friends :)

YAY I feel the same way about flea markets... it's definitely an adrenaline rush pawing through all the treasures and trying to get the best before someone else does.

Love your floaty '70s dress and big straw hat. Perfect outfit for market days!
