the antique center

I stumbled upon this amazing antique store several weekends ago when I visited Lauren. We were driving by and I spotted the words "antique center" and we knew we'd be foolish not to check it out. It was quite wonderful, although more than a little spooky. Everything was piled haphazardly and there were all sorts of weird objects mixed in with the normal antique store fare (like an incredibly scary taxidermy monkey). It was basically a hoarder's paradise.

I want to go! Looks like a crazy place that you need to be in the mood to visit. However, I'm sure there are lots of gems hidden among the scarier items :)

I love the antique center. I spend hours scouring the racks and crevices in the yard! They have the best deals. And the owner is pretty wonderful as well. Great pictures! xoxo

That is one crazy antique store. I have to go up to Oakland and check it out! I don't get up to the East Bay nearly as much as I ought to.

OMG! Fascinating and sort of scary!
Have you ever been to the in-house thrift store in the panhandle? Before I saw the picture that has the Telegraph Ave. address, I thought you'd discovered this place. It's on the steps/inside an old Victorian and hosted by an eccentric older lady who has beaded gowns, weird crap, furniture and tchotchkes to spare!

Gina

Penny: I did buy two things, a funny little hat from the 50's that is covered in yellow and green daisies, and a dish (or maybe ashtray) that is in the shape of a smiling orange.

I love the antique shops, there is a strange, ancient atmosphere, i always thought this is a quite place, perfect to take a look around us, there is not the superficial atmosphere like in usual shops.

and all this things with their own history, make me dream !
