fancy friends #02: lauren muzzy

Meet Fancy Friend #2: Lauren Muzzy. My best friend, partner in crime, muse, and all-around favorite gal. Lauren and I met late one night at a karaoke bar years ago and it was love at first sight. We were instant friends and I like to imagine us as old ladies together, still making each other snort with laughter. The Muzz has always been effortlessly stylish and obsessed with vintage, which made it incredibly fun to live with her for a while (imagine all the closet sharing we did!). Sadly we are no longer roommates, but she has a beautiful apartment in Berkeley that is perfect for slumber parties. What more can I say about such a fantastic girl? She's a smart cookie and incredibly funny and I'm quite lucky to call her my friend.

There are lots more photos after the jump, so be sure to click on "read more" below!

Beautiful vintage lace cocktail dress and 50's feathered fascinator.

Lauren is a huge bookworm like me, another reason I love her to bits.

Lauren's siamese cat, Kit.

Only a small part of her enormous hat collection.

Lauren and I are always sending each other links to shoes for sale on Etsy... we definitely enable each other.

Lauren and her boyfriend John on New Year's Eve. They have matching hairs!

I'm always buying her new additions to her crazy animal figurine collection. I love watching it grow!

This goofy potholder was one of my housewarming gifts for Lauren and John. Found on Etsy.

Best. Bag. Ever.

During our slumber party we drank lots of wine and then "played" Yahtzee! There are more photos from this, I should share the rest of them... pretty hilarious.

I think I want to move to San Fran so I can be Lauren's friend too. She likes books, cats, hats, bags, the most divine vintage frocks, and karaoke. It is a match made in heaven. And I love the glove storage idea, I have saved that photo to my files x
