glitter dream boots

Photos by Isla!

turban  vintage, estate sale
blouse  vintage
skirt  vintage from mother's daughter
sunglasses  vintage from bohemian bisoux
tights  j. crew
purse  vintage
boots  pixie market

I had these magical glitter boots bookmarked for over a month and I finally broke down and made them mine with a bit of birthday money. As far as shoes go they definitely fall into the category of "silly," and yet in my (weird) mind they seem like the ideal go-with-everything boots. Naturally I couldn't wear them out for the first time without adding even more glitter to the outfit in the form of this 1970's blouse that I found at the Vintage Fashion Expo. One red suede skirt later and we have one of my favorite color combinations. The turban is a recent find from the estate sale of a woman who was clearly obsessed with hats, my kind of lady. I can tell I'll be wearing these pieces well into my golden years.

The best thing about your fashion sense is that you just don't take everything too seriously. It's brilliant!

nice bowie reference i was gonna say that's who the boots reminded me of. when you love something as much as you love those, you'll make room. you'll find ways to wear them. you'll be inspired to create outfits around them. :)

This is super adorable! And yes, please let us know how the glitter holds up. I'm always a little afraid to buy anything coated in glitter because I want to get more than 5 wears out of it.

Wow! You look like you just jumped out of a magazine in the '70s. For a second there I thought I went back in time.

This outfit is off-the-charts sensational. It's like you've tapped into all of my subconscious outfit desires. And the turban is so chic. Your version of glam is exceptional. Happy birthday! xx

I just discovered your blog, what a jewel!
I love your style and your pictures.
I am starting to wonder if everyon ein San Francisco is super stylish, only wears vintage clothing and has their own boutique... How do you not fight over the best pieces?

Ok, I'm obsessed with your closet. Let's just throw it out there. Those glasses are amazing, I'd feel so 60s chich walking around the city in them. A few hair flips might be necessary.

Also, I laughed at the "broke down and made them mine"- if I had a nickel every time I did that. That's what birthday money is for! :)
