My wardrobe is a sea of cream, beige, mushroom, mustard, burgundy, rust, navy... but hardly any black. It has always seemed like a safe color to me, which translates into rather boring. But sometimes I find a piece that is dreamy enough to make me forget about that, like this 1960's cropped top that leaves a trail of beads whenever I wear it and makes me feel like an off duty burlesque dancer. And this skirt, a 1950's piece from Female Hysteria Vintage (a favorite Etsy shop) that couldn't possibly be prettier with it's sheer fabric and pleated hem. Two black-hued treasures that are anything but boring.
