a thrifting adventure

Last weekend I tagged along with Jen on a thrifting adventure in El Sobrante, a town better known for Hell's Angels drama than for its charm. But it is home to a few excellent thrift stores! We hit up Thrift Town and Goodwill, both of us finding a few treasures to take home (mine included a navy and red pleated wool skirt, a gorgeous lace slip, some funny gift bags, and a pretty little floral mini dress). I've had quite a few ladies ask me recently about my favorite vintage and thrift stores in San Francisco, so I'm hoping to do a post or two specifically about that soon.

dress  thrifted
purse  vintage from omnia wears

I love the Goodwill! But sadly, I have to make myself stay away from because my pocket book does not love it as much as I do.

So jealous of the clothing options in your thrift stores! Here, all you'll find is mainly old sweaters and stretch pants. (Not even worth sewing into something else!)

what thrift town is that? i've only been to the one on mission. there are so many great thrift stores in the city but i think my favorite's are the goodwill in san rafael & then lytton springs salvation army in healdsburg. i never leave there empty handed!

I can imagine a town known for its Hells Angels would have a pretty killer collection of thrift.

Excellent thrift tour, I've always wanted to do a similar post but feel funny about pulling out my huge camera in the middle of a thrift store. The picture of you in the clothing rack is classic and you somehow make florescent light look flattering!

you guys ARE SOOOOOOO LUCKY to have what you have in the USA!!! Loads, tons of thrift stores to choose from, with items put in the right place, washed, cared about.... It's my dream place!!! When I was in Flagstaff, AZ last June I spent an entire afternoon in one!!!!!
Here in France, the charity shops are more like a big pile of dirty semlly clothes. You gotta to spend ages looking for them and after them as well!
As always, you're so pretty.... Love your blog!!
come visit mine any time!
