One of my favorite things to do is drive out of the city with no destination in particular. On this day I found myself in Half Moon Bay with my best day-trip buddies Lauren and Peter, wandering around pumpkin patches and thrift stores. I found half of my Halloween costume at a Goodwill (I'm keeping it a secret for now!) and we drank strawberry margaritas at a really bad Mexican restaurant. Despite the aimlessness of our day we had a lovely time just driving around with the stereo blasting and hopping out whenever something caught our eye. It reminded me of being in high school and feeling like I had all the time in the world to do whatever I wanted, at least for an entire day, and relishing the freedom of getting in a car and just going.
