vintage heaven

I have already mentioned that one of my favorite events all year is the Vintage Fashion Expo, and this time around I was just as giddy as ever (and when I say giddy I mean that I was actually jumping up and down a bit when I got there). Imagine a huge room packed wall to wall with the most beautiful vintage treasures imaginable and you are seeing my idea of heaven. I filled my giant tote bag to the brim with pretty new things (sorry, wallet!) while I gasped and squealed my way through rack after rack. I ended up buying a 1950's plaid day dress, a 1940's silk floral dress, a chambray and lace 1960's tent dress, a 1930's sheer white peasant blouse, an amazing navy blue early-1960's wool coat, and a few other goodies. Whew. Fortunately the expo only happens twice a year, otherwise I'd be starving and living on the street with only my pretty new finds as shelter!

Ahh this looks like a little slice of heaven! I wish they had something like this where I live.

Also have to say I love your dress with the sweet little blue collar poking out :)

I'm a huge fan of the Vintage Fashion Expo! I've been 3 times, but couldn't go last week. One of those dresses in the post is absolutely divine - the white one with blue detailing and purple at the waist. I love it!

I'm so sad I wasn't able to go this go around :(... your pictures are beautiful... makes my heart melt looking at all those pretty treasures! Is it weird that I would totally be okay with being a bag lady as long as my bags were pretty :)?!

I need to put this event on my bucket list! I'd die a happy girl if I got to experience something that amazing. I'd also need to have lots of cash too. That'll make it worth my while;)
