beige phase

dress  vintage (from vintage fashion expo)
coat  vintage (from flea market)
necklace  monica rose
bag  anthropologie
tights  american apparel
shoes  chie mihara

I've been dressing pretty beige-y lately. It's not that I don't love colors, because I really really do (and I have a rainbow-hued wardrobe to prove it). But for some reason I gravitate towards these outfits made of beige, caramel and cream. I think perhaps it works because of all the layers and textures going on, which is something I always pay attention to and admire in other people's outfits. Attention to the very smallest details. This lovely (beige!) 1920's dress is one of my Vintage Fashion Expo finds. It's so delicate that I will probably only get to wear it a few times, but I imagine it'll look quite nice hanging on my wall once it has ceased being wearable.

Thanks to everyone who has been supporting the Fancy Fine Vintage shop! I've been having so much fun gathering as much vintage as I can get my hands on to share with you guys and I'm excited about the response so far! xo

Ooh that coat, so pretty! Glad your shop is going well, I've now left my job to run Penny Dreadful Vintage full time and it is hard work, but I'm having so much fun. Looks like you are too, I've been loving all your photographs lately :) x

You're right - these layered textures are divine, and when you layer creams and beiges you really get to see the intricate details in a way that never works when you layer black! Love it!

Gorgeous, gorgeous dress. Stunning. It's too bad it's in such a delicate condition. They don't make clothes like that anymore, for sure!

I am also quite drawn to more natural colors. I also think there is such a feminine feel to them. This is quite a lovely dress you have!

I live in neutral colours. I've tried so hard to break the habit but I just adore all the natural tones so much.
