new in the shop + a giveaway winner

A few new goodies in the shop, and more on the way very soon! I'm back from my Maui vacation and quite happy to be home. I'm sure most of you heard about the frightening tsunami and how it moved on to Hawaii after wreaking havoc on Japan. Fortunately my family was able to evacuate before it hit and move to a safe spot on a hill (where I spent the scariest and most uncomfortable night of my life sleeping in a car with three other people and hundreds of scared strangers parked all around us). I'm happy we made it out of that mess without a scratch and I'm sending positive thoughts (and a bit of help) to those that weren't quite so lucky.

In happier news, the winner of the Libris Lunaria tote bag is Lydia of Style is Style! Congrats to you, lady... and thanks to everyone who entered, this was the biggest response yet! Maybe I'll convince ole' Francesca to let me do another tote giveaway soon...

Oh, and my birthday is tomorrow! I'll be 27 and I plan on celebrating tonight with a bit of karaoke and my lovely group of friends. I'm crossing my fingers that someone serenades me with "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" (or at the very least "I Wanna Sex You Up.")

well hope you have a glorious birthday tomorrow!!! You were an '84 baby I see! I'm 27 too (but am an '83 baby). It is nice to know when bloggers are near my age so I don't feel too old. hehehehehehehehe. have fun with the karaoke celebration.

I love the one blouse a lot.

I'm glad you made it home safely! There is a lot of scariness in the world right now, it seems. It's hard not to stay glued to the news.

But it sounds like you have the best birthday plans ever! I was only able to convince my husband to go to karaoke with me...by which I mean he indulged me while I sang and he sat there. Well - more turns for me I suppose! (I got to follow up my Amy Winehouse with a little Rihanna.)

It is kind of funny to me that you live in SF and karaoke it up with your friends and when I was there I had very little trouble finding people to go to karaoke with me, but now that I'm in Atlanta I can't get ANYONE to go with me EVER. I'm thinking we Californians/West Coasters might be a bit better at not taking ourselves too seriously than the rest of the world....that or we simply much better singers as a whole! ;)

Have fun and happy birthday!

Haha, pretty funny karaoke choices choices. I really like that pom pom trim dress. Your gonna be 27, me too. I feel like I am really getting older. I now have to say I am 20 something. Luckily we don't look like a day older than 21. :)
