pale lace

San Francisco has an overabundance of oldies dance parties, and that's just fine with me. These were taken with a friend's polaroid camera a few weeks ago at a downtown hotel that happened to be hosting one of these dance parties. My lovely friend Raina accompanied me in her pretty pale blue dress. I tried to put my hair in Heidi braids after watching Emily's cute how-to video, but I obviously failed miserably. It looked like a five-year-old had blindly wrestled my hair into some weird braid nest. Now you know why I always wear my hair down!

Absolutely lovely dress! It doesn't matter if you think you failed with the braids, your hair looks so nice, honest! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do heidi braids, ever. My hair is far too limp and stubborn. x

Take me dancing next time I visit?

Sorry to have missed you this time around. I really need to plan things more in advance then, "Hey, I'm eating dinner, let's have drinks right now because I'm leaving in the morning!".

I love the lace dress you're wearing! I always hope to stumble on some lace jackets and dresses while out thrifting, but it never seems to happen.

what! I think your hair looks swell...kind of undone but still cool. I've worn milk maid braids a few times and my main problem is that my hair is so gosh dang heavy! My brads fall out in an hour :/
