A few photos from a shoot I did with my friend Joshua in Lafayette, featuring a 1960's velvet dress that I sadly tore to shreds that day and perhaps the greatest cape ever made circa the 1930's. There are a few more shots that I can't share just yet because they will be in Joshua's upcoming photo show, details soon!

Oh poor thing, it was such a pretty frock with all those buttons and the girly bow on the waist! It's so hard to find a perfect red velvet dress, isn't it? I've been wishing to have one for ages and finally my lovely mom handmade it for me this Christmas! I have already worn it once (in my last outfit post) and now I hung it on the door so I can just stare at it all day :) I look forward to see the rest of the shoot :)
A big hug and I wish you a fantastic New Year too!

Ohh, your cape is seriously amazing - i LOVE the third photograph! <3 It is such a shame when dresses tear though! I had a pan collar lace wonder, which sadly split in two while I sat on a park bench! The worst thing was covering my bum as I hurried home to change!

What a fantastic cape & dress, & such a pretty color. So sad it was ruined. Great shots by your friend, the colors and contrast is beautiful!
