ver unica + norma kamali lookbook

One of my favorite San Francisco vintage stores, Ver Unica, asked me to style a photo shoot using an amazing collection of 1980's Norma Kamali. All of the pieces were previously owned by a woman who lived in Japan in the 80's and she must have realized how precious her collection was because she took excellent care of everything. Most of the pieces are from the OMO collection, which stood for "On My Own" and was Kamali's reaction to the end of her marriage. Every single piece was so comfortable, like wearing the fanciest pajamas. My friend Joshua Cobos shot these photos of me inside of the Ver Unica boutique and around Hayes Valley. The collection is in many ways the opposite of my usual style but it was refreshing to be out of my element and create a lookbook inspired by both San Francisco and Kamali herself.

Take a peek at Ver Unica's blog and also this shop feature from last year!
