These photos were taken by the lovely Erin a few days before I left for New York. I had just finished my second Modcloth photo shoot (!) which is why my hair looks way more glamorous than my usual tangles. It's rather perfect that I happened to be wearing a 1960's dress that day along with my current favorite combo of tote bag and shoes. After the shoot I wandered around downtown aimlessly, poking around in all the shops and realizing that new things interest me less and less. I ended up buying nothing but film for my camera. The day ended with a burger date (the best kind of date!) and a hotel adventure that involved sneaking into every room with an unlocked door, climbing out a window onto the roof, and taking dumb photos along the way...

new york: part seven

Just when you thought you'd seen enough shirtless men on this blog to last a lifetime... here's a few more! For some strange reason they kept popping up in groups everywhere. I never asked this particular bunch why they happened to be hanging out half-nude together in a bar, but it didn't really matter in the end because now I have this photo to cherish forever and ever. Thanks for the memories, shirtless dudes!

Fancy tater tots!

During the middle of the week I had the pleasure of attending a fancy brunch hosted by Lulu's where I met some wonderful gals (Keiko, Bonnie, Dylana, Natalie, Jen, Tieka, Christina and Julie among them!) and ate lots of bacon. It was held at the swankily wallpapered Crosby Hotel in Soho, the perfect spot for brunching and chatting about the crazy week all of us were sharing. I'll admit that I felt a bit like the nerdy outsider amongst ladies who've been blogging much longer than I have, but I'm quite flattered that I could join them for a mellow (and stylish!) morning.

new york: part six

My last two days in New York were bittersweet and I tried to cram as much people watching, eating, and lady time into them as possible. On my last day Emily and I met up with Francesca near Rockefeller Center to eat macaroons at Bouchon (the yummiest ones ever) and take silly tourist photos. I've been going through the eight rolls of film (!) I had developed and I'm excited to start sharing those photos soon... although some of them might be slightly incriminating!

I had a wonderful week in New York but I was happy to be reunited with Donut... she missed me.
